Do NOT fill out an adoption application unless you have fully read the bio of the animal you are interested in!

The about my behavior section will note if a specific home is required. None of our young kittens can be adopted as only cats sorry. We do not do pre-adoptions on puppies, you will have to wait until they are available and then apply.

Things to consider

We match animals to families and do a good job – we have a 3 percent return rate that we are very proud of.
Your application, even if excellent (as most of them are) will not be chosen if it is not the best match for the animal.
We build families – we don’t simply “sell” pets to the first good application.
We do it with volunteers and less than a shoestring budget.
That is why we do not and CANNOT answer each and every application, only the one chosen application for each animal will be contacted for a meet and greet.

Important

You will receive a confirmation email once your application is successfully submitted – please check your spam/junk folders and add us to your contact list, as we may email you to further discuss the adoption application.

It also has your application so always keep it in your email so you can forward it to be used toward others or future animals if nothing has changed and it’s the same species.

This way you do not need to keep redoing your app constantly. We do NOT ship any of our animals, you are required to come to Edmonton for a meet and greet and later to pick up your new fur baby(ies).

If you must delay pick up, please state that you are ok with donating on top of the adoption fee to help cover costs while in care (supplies and vaccines if due prior to pickup). A minimum of $20 is required if it's a week or more over and you will receive a tax donation receipt. If it's less than a week you can donate whatever amount. Please note we prefer that you don't delay pick up as it holds up a much needed foster home.

Do you understand and accept that adopted animals could cause damage to your belongings during the transition period into your home? We recommend a two-week shutdown period - this means giving the animal time to adjust to you and its new surroundings and minimizing visitors, as this can be incredibly unsettling causing unwanted behaviors.(Required)
